You can but why? You'll have super slow internet speed. The 4g speeds work on different frequencies...

      Yeah, pm me.

My 3GS was so incredibly slow.....it was practically like NOT having data at all....GPS was almost unusable, forget Pandora or any other streaming music, and the internet took so long to do anything I could have driven back home and used my home computer and still beaten the speed on T-mobile.
I said 2g data in the post you quoted, lol.

59.99 plus tax. Just sell the iPhone and get a different phone with the money.

Only because you haven't given a good Android a chance. I was too....until I got an Evo 4G. If you take some decent pics and post it up on Craigslist you could prolly get about 100-125 for that Iphone if its in good shape. You can score a good deal on an Evo or Sensation for roughly the same cash...and they are MUCH better than the Iphone 3G, 3GS, or even Iphone 4.

if i was paying 90 or 100 a month i would consider taking my iphone over to tmobile

but slowing my speed down to almost nothing isn't worth it. plus like fiddy said it's 59.99 plus all the taxes, i pay $80 a month cash to my parents and i practically have unlimited everything. my dad uses his phone for business so we have plenty of minutes. only time i have gotten even close to using 2gb data has been 2 or 3 months out of the year i have been with att. even then i got a txt saying i was at 65% of my usage... but the next billing cycle was like a week away so it was no biggie

i am not an android hater(i had a htc hero with sprint and other than the worse lagging/freezing you can imagine it was a great phone) but they just aren't as smooth as my old ass 3g. my homie has an evo and it does lag a tiny bit, enough that i noticed it right away. the brand brand new ones might be better but i dont have the $$ to waste on that right now, especially when i am happy with my 3g and att. if i could save a little more than 15ish bucks i would consider going to tmobile and dealing with the slower speeds, but for now i'll just wait and hope to find an iphone 3gs or 4/4s on the ground and bam, new phone!

So why won't T-Mobile jump on the iPhone bandwagon?

if it works fine, I wouldn't bother. Tmobile has a 2 gb cap in the 59 plan, you can raise it to 5 gb for 15 more a month. And on the 59 plan, the phones are full price, just broken up into a down payment and monthly payment on the phone. So if you go with the s2, with phone payment it's 75 a month plus tax. 15 a month for the high end phones, 10 a month for the midrange phones, and 3 or 5 a month for the basic phones. But if you already have a phone to use, like an unlocked iphone, then of course you don't pay a payment on the phone. You have a few different options with the plans.

Find someone with a family plan on Sprint and start saving a bit more. My dad has 4 phones currently on his plan with unlimited text and data, free mobile to mobile (any provider), and shares 1500 minutes for landline numbers..and I'm paying 29.99 a month. I think he also has a discount thru his employer. I'm quite happy with this old ass Evo 4G.

They probably will soon. They just prefer to market their 4G phones instead, since there isn't really a 4G iphone yet.

Its more like Apple won't jump on the T-mobile wagon. T-mobile uses different frequencies for its 3G system and Apple SO FAR hasn't built it in to the Iphone. Thats why AT&T wanted to buy T-mobile...so they could acquire those frequencies...and then could offer T-mobile pricing on the Iphone under the AT&T banner...oh and also to have a monopoly on the market. Nothing ever changes with AT&T...same shady practices...different day.
