Grade school is not the same as it was when we were in school. I graduated in 2002, I don't know about you two. I only know because of my little brother. If he missed 1 class, my parents got a call with a recorded message saying what class he missed.

Waaaaaaaaay back when I graduated ('95), they had automated calls to the house to notify parents their kid missed at least one class that day. So when I ditched, I made sure I was home around 6:30 and caught that call. This was still possible because there was no such thing as a cell phone.

But that sidebar has nothing to do with the fishy story. Some weirdness about a screenshot of a photo and a moustache and poof, five people are suspended? C'mon....

Now, my kid's have Skyward (or skynet, as I like to call it,) where I get emailed their averages daily, plus I get notification of missed assignments, low grades, tardies, unexplained absences, ect. That being said, when my godchild got suspended back in September, I got a phone call notifying me that she was facing suspension and that someone needed to come up to the school to do the paperwork. I ended up getting the call because her father was in Colorado hunting, her mom was in a conference, and I'm the emergency contact when both are out of reach. They wouldn't let her leave campus until one of us signed off on the paperwork.

So, forgive me for not being able to put this together, but how does it go from one guy taking a screenshot and one guy drawing a mustache on it, to FIVE guys getting suspended?
And when did notification of a suspension go from being a serious meeting with the student, principal, and parents to a phone call to the student after school?

Exactly. The administration in my building are incredibly corrupt. My school is only 10% white now. I've had friends get iss because their ID was below there waist, but I see a hundred black kids with pants around their ankles with "felon 4 lyfe" written on their shirt that don't get in any trouble at all. Several times I've seen shit like that walk past administrators without any reprimand.

The other day a girl I know got iss for a fray in her jeans the size of a penny. This girl has literally never even been slapped on the wrist in her whole school career. While she was getting in trouble I see a black girl walk by another ap with a skirt so short her butt was hanging out. Nothing.

And the thing that really gets me is that this teacher and I (I thought) were really good friends. He jokes all the time and always says that i crack him up, I'll see him in the hall and he will poke fun at someone stupid in the class etc. I have the highest grade in that class and do all my work to the best of my ability and he doesn't have the balls to pull me out of the room and tell me that he has a problem with what's going on? That's chicken shit.
