Simple - takes me about 10 mins on a moderately busy network, and most of that time is just sitting back and gathering data.

Once you have the tools and know what you're doing...

Your password is printed on the sticker on your router.

And I have no clue what the hell you guys are discussing, heard of this stuff yes, but that's about it.

All it takes is a wireless network adapter capable of packet injection and you can pick the data out of the air. just like a puzzle, get large enough collection of data you can piece it together and decrypt it to see what it is.

and woe unto your entire world if you send passwords in plain text vs encrypted across a wireless network.

You don't even really need to know what you're doing anymore. Give someone a copy of backtrack and access to youtube, that's all it takes.

Best Buy/Geek Squad is retarded. Better off using a small shop to be honest.

My niece took her laptop there because it was not booting. They wanted 300 dollars to fix it (Talking about backing up her crap, rebuilding and a coverage plan). I ran Windows recovery and after 30 minutes it was fixed. Those SOBs are pissing me off and are a disgrace to good geeks.
