commmon misconception. forrest broke it down for me once, there aint no way the entering your CC is still 28*degrees unless it was forced there by boost or thermal expansion aka nitrous.
but i know what you mean, there is just something about a k&n intake howling on cold air to make you feel a lil faster.
Get your buddy to provide thermodynamic proof. It may not still be 28, but it's cooler than air entering at 100F.
I just popped open another beer while reading these posts. Before I blew my Buick up I found that I needed to turn the boost down about 2 psi when it started getting real cold due to mild detonation..tuning seemed spot on when it was above 70 or so..but once it started getting real cold I could never seem to remove the 2-3 shift pinging (I ran about 18-19 psi on the street). Coulda been the race chip with lotsa timing, or maybe the wastegate just couldn't handle the PT52. Sigh........I miss driving my Buick.
