How many people drive down the road sideways? The vast majority of off street parking is head or tail in.
Get the picture? Quit being a smart ass and use a little logic.

Out here next to Hell, I have been pulled over 7 times for no FLP I haven't gotten a ticket yet.
These have all been stops by DPS each time I have done my best to be polite respectful, and not have an attitude, One Trooper explained that in our area(I-10) in between El Paso and San Antonio they are less concerned about the no FLP but it does give them a reason for a probable cause stop.
When or if one of these times I do get a ticket I'll pay it, will I run a front plate nope!
I told the one trooper on stop number 5 after he had mentioned "Sir do you know you have been pulled over 4 other times for this" I said yes sir but look at the front of my car putting a plate on it would be like putting a mustache on the Mona Lisa.
He laughed, handed me my 5th warning and told me to have a good day2010 Ford SVT Raptor

I asked the first question, which you responded to with a question. I then asked a question to your question. You were saying about dodging?

Logic says that you will run plates on cars that are moving in your direction. You don't have time to run plates as cars are coming at you. Seeing a missing front plate just gives you an opportunity to stop and investigate.
What if someone backs into your driveway to burglarize you home and the neighbor can't see a plate?
I'm all for identifying the bad guys but the front plate law is just stupid. You may feel differently because of all the probable cause stops you were able to make when a car or person seemed suspicious. When the government pays, the government controls.

The front plate is a means to identify the vehicle just like the back plate, but people don't bitch and moan about that.
The front plate is designed to break off, have you ever wondered why the bracket is so damned flimsy?
I helped work a hit and run a couple of weeks ago at Miller/287 where someone whacked a telephone pole and drove off. Guess what, the LP was left on the scene. Not to hard to follow the trail on that one.....
Oh, and in before the "front plate detracts from the asthetics of the car" B.S. The back plate does just as much "detracting", but again, no one bitches about that.
The example you gave has little merit. Because a one in one million occurrence happened, therefor, it justifies the expense and hassle of an extra plate. If that were the case all states would have the same front plate law. But, they don't. The back plate is far more important and, I would guess gets read over 98% of the time before the front plate.
Dude, it's a law that creates another revenue stream. That's what you are, a government Bishop. Enjoy the kickback.
