    Interesting?

Texas legislature accidentally deletes penalty for failing to display a license plate.

The front plate is a means to identify the vehicle just like the back plate, but people don't bitch and moan about that.

The front plate is designed to break off, have you ever wondered why the bracket is so damned flimsy?

I helped work a hit and run a couple of weeks ago at Miller/287 where someone whacked a telephone pole and drove off. Guess what, the LP was left on the scene. Not to hard to follow the trail on that one.....

Oh, and in before the "front plate detracts from the asthetics of the car" B.S. The back plate does just as much "detracting", but again, no one bitches about that.
Are you being serious? The cost of an extra plate is yet another unjustifiable expense for the taxpayer. To add insult to injury, honest, hard working people get slapped with up to a $200 fine for not running a front plate they've already paid for. A lot of people can't afford to eat with those kinds of fines. That'll teach them not to run a front plate!

The example you gave has little merit. Because a one in one million occurrence happened, therefor, it justifies the expense and hassle of an extra plate. If that were the case all states would have the same front plate law. But, they don't. The back plate is far more important and, I would guess gets read over 98% of the time before the front plate.

Dude, it's a law that creates another revenue stream. That's what you are, a government Bishop. Enjoy the kickback.

    Why would you need to?

Logic says that you will run plates on cars that are moving in your direction. You don't have time to run plates as cars are coming at you. Seeing a missing front plate just gives you an opportunity to stop and investigate.
What if someone backs into your driveway to burglarize you home and the neighbor can't see a plate?
That's a pretty far out hypothetical. What if the crooks remove their plates while committing the crime? What if my neighbor sees the plate but writes it down wrong? What if the plates were stolen from another car?

I'm all for identifying the bad guys but the front plate law is just stupid. You may feel differently because of all the probable cause stops you were able to make when a car or person seemed suspicious.

Why not just cut out the computer in the middle and put everyone's name and address on all four sides and the roof of the car as well?

He laughed, handed me my 5th warning and told me to have a good day

Pics of the car? And then your girl but we can start with the car...

How many people drive down the road sideways? The vast majority of off street parking is head or tail in.

Get the picture? Quit being a smart ass and use a little logic.

I asked the first question, which you responded to with a question. I then asked a question to your question. You were saying about dodging?
