now... onto the rest HAHAH!!!! Yeah those damn watery eyes kept giving me problems yesterday
I can't express enough thanks for the wonderful Christmas the children had yesterday. I have received a few paypal donations as well, so I bought some random santa gifts for christmas morning. I'm going to leave a note under the tree from Santa with the last few things hidden from the kids telling them how good they've been, how proud he is of them, and here's a few extra things the elf 'Nick' forgot to pack
The kids all kept calling Nick "Nick the Elf", which of course, Sarah Beth started. That's my girl!!! After the guys left the kids continued to play all night long until about 4am this morning when the gunfire finally stopped from the Modern Warfare 2 they were given.
95ragtop... you have given me the ability to record these wonderful events and everything that could come our way in the future. There's no way to properly thank someone for giving you the ability to archive your most precious memories like that. You will forever be in our hearts and thoughts as one of the many angels that made Christmas 2010 such a success.
The xbox360... my 11 and 9 year old were actually brought to thankful tears of joy for the xbox after company left. The 7 year old kept dancing and singing "yes, yes, yes! yes yes yes!!" but no tears for the youngest LOL! Anyhow, the two older boys said it was so hard not to cry and hug Santas neck but they didn't want to scare him off LOL. Then the 7 yr old sits up and says.. "See guys, I knew being good this year was a great idea!"
The Beatles Rock Band... MUAHAHAHA HOLY BAD ASSS!!! We played all night long. I still have their damn songs in my head LOL
There were a few items that I didn't label properly, and I'm so proud of my boys for handling things the way they did. There was a set of die cast mustangs one red, one black for my 11 yr old. I accidently gave the box to my 9 year old to open. Later in the evening they were discussing ownership of said cars, so I explained who santa said they were meant for and it was my fault for confusing the gift and giving it to the other kiddo. Before I could even apologize, my 11 year old says "well mommy it's okay because sharing is always best! Since they were supposed to both be for me, Jared, you pick which one you like best and keep it. Then we'll both have one!" Same thing with an MP3 player... wrong label/wrong kiddo but not a problem in the least because they all share equally anyway....Zach just said, "That's okay, I'll get one too someday and if not, I'll just borrow yours!" (then handed it to his brother.)
The telescope...OMG what a screaming success!!! Jared wanted one SOOO Bad because the first one I bought him was a real cheapo one....I just wanted him to be able to take care of one properly before putting any real money on something like that. At first he was under the impression that it was similar to the one he had in his closet from 2 years ago.... and then it got dark last night so we went outside and looked at the moon. He was completely AMAZED by the telescope and said he was going to write santa another letter to let him know he'll be sure to take extra care of it. We will be sure to check out the total lunar eclipse tonight during the winter solstice! We're camping in the back yard tonight so it's going to be SO MUCH FUN!!!!
The VW...holy shit that thing is hilarious! She was a bit shy yesterday when the guys were there so she didn't get into the car until after the guys left, but damn...when she got in, I knew that was my girl! She hit the pedal and never let off! Chased all 3 boys out the front door, around the front yard, the driveway, the neighbors yard, then off into the back yard for about 10 more laps. Then she drove it back around front...parked it in between the cars in the driveway and went inside to check on the status of her Barbie Dream Jet.
There's SO Much more.... I can't even begin to describe how great everything was. You all are AMAZING people and a true blessing to have as friends. I'm so lucky to be part of such a wonderful community ... and more so.... lucky to have people willing to help my family during these tough times. You all helped me out... a total stranger, for the sake of the children. I can only hope to be as big of a person as you all have proven to be, so that I can pass these things on to my children and help create a bright future full of hope and faith in mankind.
As SOON as I can figure out how to load the video, I will get it on here right away! I don't have internet at home, so I'll bring the box with me to work tomorrow and try to get it figured outOriginally posted by VertnutI'd run my junk through a waffle iron, if it makes you more "comfortable". LOL!

We stayed up LATE last night kicking ass at Modern Warfare 2, then I got my groove onto some Beatles tunage... my 7 year old son thought he was one of the founding members apparently, because he thought himself to be "the only one worthy of singing such difficult lyrics" (LMAO!! HIS WORDS EXACTLY)
All I know is my babies are in HEAVEN and it's thanks to Nick for his efforts and idea in the first place, and thanks to the actions of so many who answered his call for help.
I promise even if it kills me trying, I'll pay you all back somehow, someday.Originally posted by VertnutI'd run my junk through a waffle iron, if it makes you more "comfortable". LOL!

I'm going to put up several videos in the near future so keep an eye out for them! Her Evel Knievel face in that car is PRICELESS... added with a squealy laugh, and it makes for excellent entertainment!Originally posted by VertnutI'd run my junk through a waffle iron, if it makes you more "comfortable". BTW - when you take the telescope out on a cool night, you'll need to let it get acclimated from the warm house temps to the cooler night temps. It will get foggy on the outer lenses for a short time. Best thing to do is set it in the garage or on the back porch for an hour or two before viewing. Also, don't forget to keep the lens cover on when not in use, and if it gets dirty, use a micro fiber cloth to clean (water only).
Also, please be judicious with the editing on the vid before you post up.
Santa's got a rep to maintain, you know.
Have fun tonight!
