My wife is between jobs and she will be uncovered for a 2 month period. She has to have surgery on her ankle on jan 12, can we sign up for a different policy and within a month have her surgery covered? how does this work? bad timing on the surgery and job switch, doctor told us months ago the exact date surgery had to be and job change was already in effect....lots of bad luck on timing here!

COBRA is your best bet, especially if she's going to try and apply with a new ins. company with a pre-existing condition that requires surgery.Comment
