I hope they get millions out of these worthless sacks of shit. People like the defendants are part of what is wrong with this country.

Oh and I guess by these morons' standard I should be a sex offender. Fucking idiots.

I'd be a little pissed about it as the girls father, but slapping the 6YO with a felony which will pretty much ruin his life is just bullshit. That DA over-reacted bigtime and is abusing his power. I'm sure if you went to the Tarrant or Dallas county DA trying to press felony sexual assault charges on a 6yo boy for playing doctor with your daughter he would tell you to get lost.
fwiw, I got my first boner around that age, but had ZERO idea what to do with it

Yeah, now that I think back I was around 7 when I started getting them. I remember thinking "wtf is wrong with my wiener?!?!" I also had no idea that it belonged in a girl's vagina.

He has "development issues" which means he's retarded. Even if they penalize him, it's not going to matter. It's not like he's ever going to apply for a job that's worth a damn.

This sounds like a case of well-to-do parents getting "butt hurt". Pun intended.

What a waste of legal resources. It sounds like the parents pulled all kinds of strings/favors to get this done.

So you're fine with it then? Don't see anything wrong with it? I agree with Alan, in that I hope they clean house. What is NOT given in the article are political affiliations.

I agree with the point of the lawsuit, but I think this points to a continuing problem in our legal system.

For the last few decades we have pushed for zero tolerance laws for all sorts of crimes but especially sexual crimes against children. Those laws automatically assume that anyone that fucks up is a sexual predator and brands them as such for life. Not only this kid but every other kid that has under aged sex. And of course the law isn't applied equally among the sexes. Boys found guilty of statutory rape get labeled as sexual predators for life but anything rarely happens to the girl in the case.

Ultimately, we as a nation or society are to blame for what is happening to this kid because our own fears allowed these overly rigid laws to be passed.

I am way over protective of my little girl (8 years old now), and if I walked in on a 6YO boy doing that when she was 5, I would say "What the hell do you think your doing there little pecker head", I'd send him him home, and they wouldn't play together any longer, but that would be the end of it. No reason to ruin the little boys life by putting him on the registered sex offender list. That DA should be be disbarred.

When I was little I would always get in trouble for playing with girls. I wasnt even old enough for Kindergarded yet.

One day I was accross the street playing hid the fake jewlery, about 5-6yo when this happened. Anyways, the girls dad came out and caught us, I of course took off running accross the street and you know the only fear I had was that of my parents. Didnt even have to think oh these people are going to call the police on me, a 6yo boy. My mom whooped my ass and I learned.

This country is going to shit and I dont know if we can do anything about it

Your comment reminded me of a series I used to watch (Sliders)

Once they landed in an alternate world where EVERYONE was basically a lawyer.

Jerry O'Connell bumped into an old lady and said "sorry, I didn't see you there" and a lawyer approached Jerry that he needs to lawyer up because you should never "admit fault". Thought it was hilarious and would never happen...now I am seeing it more and more.

We will all need Lawyers on retainers for bumping into people at a store or minor fender benders...someone just hit the reset button already.
