Our company is having an invitation only party. 600 workers total - 30 managers, 70 office personnel, 30 sales reps, 500 factory workers. I'm in outside sales so I did not get an invite. Only the office personnel and all management are going to the invite only party. All of the factory workers are getting a "pizza party," so everyone is getting something except the sales people. Stupid.

I think his point is that the fish got low balled, fucked in the catfish asshole and you paid half price. The worst part was the fish explaining to his fish friends why his asshole smelled like redneck

Ours, for the last 2 years, has been at an Italian restaurant. It will be there this year as well. The food is good and the desserts are great also. They give you 2 free drinks at first. Then after a while they open up the bar. It was good the first year. Last year left a lot to be desired. I've won a prize both years so that's cool. We shall see what this year brings.

Ours was last THURSDAY, which is a major turn-off to people that want to drink since they have to be at work the next day. Add in the fact that you can't take your gf/spouse, it's 20 miles from the office, and they shut the bar down at 8:30, I'd say they're deliberately trying to keep participation at a minimum. It was at a really nice place though, and I heard the food was great. I didn't go.

I'm really surprised, since my company is an ad agency and they throw good parties throughout the year...

We had a catered luncheon at work. Everybody got a cash bonus that morning. We all ate lunch together then did door prizes. They consisted of anything from t-shirts to cash to 37" flat screen tv. I got lucky and one a $100 dollar bill so that was nice. Then we all got a frozen ham and sent home early at 2:30.

We'll probably drink beer at a different place instead of the shop... LOL.

Always a big shindig at my boss' pad. Booze are plenty, food is top notch (catered every year by local chefs), chinese christmas, and karaoke contest for $1000 in prizes. Hoping for a big bonus handout as well. I sure could use it.

I haven't been to a good company Christmas party in years.

In the old days we'd generally have it at a hotel, and drunkenness/debauchery/fistfights would ensue. Those were fun days
