understood, i have bought 8 new dodges (diesels) since 1995 and never a problem from any, i still think the cheby/gmc's are unreliable, i have a friend who rodeos and gets them for basically nothing , who just bought a new dodge cause he couldnt keep the chevy running, thats pretty sad. i love the ford , just hate the fuel mileage compared to the dodge (empty or hauling)its not even comparable, with the miles we cover yearly it adds up

I'm disappointed to say the least...
My 06 6.0 with a 2" lift, 22" wheels with 37" tires, cat delete, sct tuner would knock down 16+ mpg hwy. It actually averaged out better than my current 6.4 deleted.

Hell, the lie meter only gets up to 15.4, by hand it averages 12.2, and that's with me not being hard on it at all.

You guys can talk about what you see here and what you see there all you want. Ford F series pick ups are the most sold vehicle in the country the last time I looked, usually specifically because of fleet type usage. That should say something.
Personally I don't really care one way or the other; I'll never own a pick up. But try to base your opinions off something solid rather than arguing perceptions.
New truck sales in October 2011:
Ford F - Series PU 52,511
Chevrolet Silverado PU 36,656
Dodge Ram PU 21,037

Resale is a big contention point, but it wouldn't matter to me because resale will be shit by the time I sell it anyways. Hence paying cash for vehicles, finding the best deal I can possibly get, and not caring about having the nicest or what is perceived to be the nicest. Sure, I could go buy a Mercedes C63 tomorrow. But it doesn't make sense for my needs.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

god bless.
I lifted the back an additional 2" so it stayed in the factory stance. Front is just 2" spacers. It would rub the inner fender plastic off road fully compressed, but no metal contact. On the street no rub. My little brother fit 37" tires on his dodge with 2" lift.
Moved the front bumper out 1", pulled the fender plastic back, and a little hammering on the back edge of the front fender.
Main thing is wheel offset anyway. I've had some stupid large tires on vehicles without much lift.Last edited by dblack1; 11-29-2011, 02:10 PM.

Damn, that looks a LOT like my truck, though yours is a little newer and nicer. Mine has 2" blocks as well and I had to mess around with the fender plastic just to fit 35s. I think the owner before me also moved the front bumper forward.
