Ford makes a great truck, IMO, but I have not been in a new Dodge. They sure are ugly. Again, JMO.

My main motivation in this is the huge resale hit they take. Allowing me to get in to a very new low mile truck for a fraction of the cost. I'm not worried about resale, as I'll put a couple hundred thousand miles on it. I should really get a diesel for longevity, but I prefer the 5.9 to the new platform. And these brand new gassers are damned nice. I really can't stress enough how impressed I've been this weekend. My Dad bought it late spring, and hasn't had a single complaint.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

Maybe in ~5 years or so down the road when the current trucks have 150k or so on them, I'll reevaluate my stance on them. As of right now I'm not going to buy a product that has proven itself unreliable in the past. Even in this same thread it was said they changed transmissions from '11 to '12 because they were having issues. That whole deal reeks of poor engineering, something I've grown to expect from the dodge/Chrysler/jeep brands.
I really haven't had too many issues out of my 03 2500, although the BCM is a headache. I wouldn't have an issue looking at a new Ram, if I needed a truck."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

I have feeling they would be pretty close in stock form.

I like the F-150 as well, and really like the Eco boost. But they are way more than I want to spend, and the suspension is a little more stiff than I care for.
It doesn't make sense for me to buy new, and it doesn't make sense to buy pay more for an older, more preferred platforms like an lsx or 5.4 f-150. I put way too many miles on vehicles way too quick for it to be a sound choice. Like I said, I wasn't even beginning to think about a newer vehicle. I'm perfectly fine with my nearly 200,000 mile Expedition. The experience with his this weekend has definitely made me think twice though.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

Ive got a 2011 Ram Laramie. Love it!! Ride is smooth and havent had any issues(only been like 15K miles haha)
Im a big Ram fan. Dad bought a 98 new and handed it down to me 3 years ago. We never had to do a single major fix on the vehicle. lasted to about 185K before I traded it in and even then it still had no issues
