best price on carpet?

Ive been searching the forum for recent carpet prices/posts/installs to no avail. Has anyone had carpet installed recently at a good price? If so where did you have it done? Builders carpet is shot and time to R&R.

Buying carpet is tricky when you try to compare one manufacturer to another. Since Shaw makes damn near everything, I'd start there. I use Carpet One a lot, and they have a "house brand" that is made for them by Shaw (I think). For the money, it's excellent. My builders' cost is about $16 a yard installed with pad.

Shaw 80 oz carpet with premium pad, installed, is right at $36.00 per square yard.

Any other deals out there before I buy?
