  • Plumber needed ASAP

Mods I posted this here to get more views: I need a plumber in Duncanville who can come find a water leak at my moms house. It has to be under the foundation some where and seems to be a decent size, moms last month water bill was 600 bucks. Were available all day tommorow and today if need be.. thanks

seen a lot of threads like this due to the dry weather. There should be a definite leak visually present. A lot of them are right at the foundation edge and not necessarily under the foundation. But once again there should be visual confirmation and it will take some digging.

        Good luck with it.

We don't see anything at all. We had a plumber come out but he didn't have the right equipment to find the leak.....

Did he verify that there was a leak, by watching the meter?

Should be able to call the water utility and they'll work with you on the bill since it's a leak.

I would hold off until AFTER The Thanksgiving holidays if you can. I'd imagine that the price for a plumbing call on Thanksgiving/Day after, would be quite a sticker shock.

Man I feel your pain. Earlier this year I had several $350+ water bills. Couldnt find the leak anywhere and then saw under the house was flooding. Some really cool people here helped me out and Forbes stepped up to find the leak. We had to break up about 6' of brick to get under the house to get to a broken main feed pipe. I know almost nothing about plumbing and Forbes really saved my arse. Had it doug up and spliced in no time!
Untill he came I had to shut the main off every day. I would only have it open for an hour to use the toilett and heat some water for a shower and I was still using 22,000 gallons!
