I've had my share of clutch problem experience, but this one is something I've never experienced before....
When disengaging the clutch from a stop and the truck starts to move, there is a sound that can best be described as metal shavings bouncing around underneath the dash.
Once you start moving, all wierd sounds cease and you can drive normally.
It does it from a stop in any gear and reverse.
There are no vibrations to be felt in this entire process. Clutch engages fine and works normally (for now). I cannot for the life of me figure out if it is a tranny or clutch issue....
I think I'm gonna need professional help for this one....
Take it to DFW Frame and Alignment in Hurst off pipeline road, just east of Hurstview. Talk to Todd up front and see what they can do for you - they did a rear end swap in my camaro, engine swap in my 05 ram, and all the regular maintenance on our family vehicles for the last 10 years or so.

I had good luck with Ace Racing trans. I also have had good luck with Big Johns Transmissions in Watuaga. John did most of ace's building before he went independent.
