20 so that's 80 per day, or 5 per hour if you sleep 8 hours a day or one every 12 minutes and it usually takes 4-5 minutes to smoke one. DAYYUM

I think 4 packs a day might be a little excessive. Somebody is either lying or on their deathbed.

Those are good things that we WILL miss. A whole other issue IMO...

I don't think we will miss obese smoking Americans paying incredible self-inflicted health care costs jacking up the price for the rest of us.

I had an uncle who used to smoke 3 packs a day. He would light one off of the other, I don't know how you could smoke 4 packs a day. Some of the 3-4 pack a day people are the ones who always have one burning in an ashtray or something though and might only take a few drags off it every now and then, or they are the smokers who always have the 3" long ash hanging off one, lol.

Do you really believe that if all Americans stopped smoking today, health care costs would go down?

Of course not, if it did they would just raise the cost of normal procedures to make up for it.

When smokers pay inflated healthcare premiums because they are a smoker, how exactly does that affect your premiums?

                        Don't be a dumbass.

Sorry Brent, but your statement is dumb. I work for a company of 53,000. We all pay the same for health and life, therefore I'll assure you that we non-smokers are paying extra for the smokers.

Nah man, not when you've already got it full of toys!

completely off topic still, but you're doing it wrong if you can't tool around in the garage for an afternoon without spending any coin.

You can blame smokers for whatever you want. If all the smokers went away, it would be due to air pollution around here, if that went away it would be due to the heat....etc...etc...etc

Hell, I'm sure they'd figure out a way for people who are too skinny, too fat, go to the gym too much.

I agree that smoking is a health risk 100%. I don't agree that it makes a damned bit of difference in health care costs.

Agree 100%. The flu is supposed to be really bad this year and the chances of a recall on beef is pretty high. Lets raise the premiums.
