  • Diamond Ring help needed.....Ladies in here

Need some ideas and where better to find them then the dfwmustang board....

My wife recently lost her wedding band and still has her engagement ring. She kinda wants a better and new ring set now that we can afford it so Im considering buying her a whole new set. The issue we are having is whether or not to use the original diamond on the new ring. I kinda wanna get her a new diamond but she thinks the original diamond has sentimental value.

My question is would you for sure use the original diamond if you bought a new set? If not any ideas on what we could do with the diamond besides sell it? Ive heard maybe make a pendant.

It's her ring, let her do what she wants IMO

Didn't she just tell you she wanted to keep it for sentimental value? What would I do? I'd listen to her.

I wouldn't be buying a new ring for a woman who lost the first one, that's what I'd be doing. Or not doing I suppose.

Use the old diamond in the surround and put a new nicer one in as the centerpiece?

How the fuck do you lose your wedding band???

My girl lost the first nice ring I got her within a few months of me giving it to her. CZs are all she will get from me from now on and she knows it lol.

I don't know how you lose a ring. I've lost two pieces of jewelry in my life. The first was a necklace; the chain broke and the pendant was gone. I found the chain in my bra. The second was a pair of diamond earrings that my ex-husband accidentally put down the garbage disposal.

I'm SOOOOOoooo happy my wife and I are past the "jewelry" phase in our lives. Get a CZ that looks the part and costs 1/2 what it looks like. Put the savings in a CD or retirement!

They will at first, but after 6 months, you'll know the difference. Simply the reason for the huge price difference.
