Comparing a mustang to a vette is like comparing a mustang to the Chevrolet cruize.

GM is better at talking trash than most of the people in this thread.

Oh, I agree. I just wondered where we are, owning mustangs, when you see the vette as high class white trash because it's a step above a camaro, which is the proper car to compare to any mustang.

A mustang to me is most comparable to the camaro but they both draw in different crowds.

My uncle in-law has a newer viper and although it was fast I was much happier in my mustang driving home. The viper was essentially a shopping cart with a big ass engine on it. I'm 6 foot 2 inches and I had to duck down to see out the window and the stick shift was in an akward place. The huge tires also pulled me into ever void in the road.

The camaro to me is border line cartoonish. Horrible blind spots. I didn't even want to test drive one after I sat in it. Only thing I don't like about the mustang is the door is to tall for me to comfortable hang my arm on while driving.

I would never compare a mustang to a vette nor would I a viper. I just threw that extra viper bit in to talk about a few weak points.

I didnt understand that, my 2011 v6 was perfect for my arm to hang out but my friends 2010 was very uncomfortable, like my seat in the 2011 v6 was raised and the gt was touching the floor pan. Same when i test drove a 2011 gt, it was very low. My v6 must have been special, lol.

Except that GM is only talking trash cause they're losing and they know it. They're so poor now its all they can do. At least Chrysler has that Fiat man as a sort of ace in the hole. To hopefully drag them up from the gutter. GM is now just the poor kid at school.

GM netted $100 million more than Ford in the most recent 3rd quarter. What are you talking about poor? GM is in better shape financially than Ford because they restructured through bankruptcy and Ford took on massive debt instead of filing for Bankruptcy. I'm not saying what GM did was right, but they're in better position than Ford moving forward.

GM's best is still better than Ford's best. What is Ford's ring time around the Nurburgring with the new Shelby? Oh wait, they haven't advertised it if they even have a number. I wonder why.

The new Shelby may out-accelerate the ZL1, but that's probably about it. We will know soon enough when we get some magazine test/comparos/reviews hopefully in the next few months on how they compare.
