Oh man that brings back memories, we were lined up on regal 3 wide one night and the cops pulled two cruisers across 3 lanes to shut it down. We had the bright idea to throw it in reverse and get out of there, about five minutes later and after having 4 guns pointed at us we thought better, LOL. I got 6 tickets that night and was on constant payment plan with Dallas/Irving for about the next 4 years. e used to run Emerald and beside Frito lay. We would hit a spot stay for a few hours till the cops came and just move to the next one.

I raced you on the I20 service rd between 67 and Hampton one night.
Actually raced a few times, I had a 74 camaro I at the time.
I remember racing a few times while I was motor and it being fairly close then you wanted to race for like $20 or something so I turned the nitrous on.
You thought I was running juice on the runs before but once I did kick it on it wasn't so close of a race anymore. I recall your wife yelling at me and some of the people with us how I fucked you and cheated. lol

I know we turned out fair share of Cobras and Trans Ams in off road vehicles if we needed to, lol. I know a 97 Ram Air T/A has more suspension travel then a 98 cobra does.Originally posted by Nash B.Damn, man. Sorry to hear that. If it'll cheer you up, Geor swallows. I miss the days of hanging out at Fenders ever Friday and Saturday night then street racing the rest of the night.
Manana, 635 service rd, California crossing, Astro, I20 service rd, Regal rd, Matlock, behind the Miller brewery in FTW, White swan, south dallas by the Dr. Pepper plant, Trinity blvd, Soverien row.
We lived at the street races for many years.
Still one of the best nights of racing I have ever seen was at Manana on a Thursday night. It was Christmas night back in 1995 or 96. It was packed and we raced all night without a single cop showing up. Won some good money that night too.

I agree with a lot of the post with memories of Manana. I didnt race much as I didnt have anything fast or remotely fast, but I had many a great time out there from 92-99. It was just about a every weekend deal out there for us. I rememeber when people balls got hugh and they started racing right on Royal on front of the gas station. I look back real fond of those days. Spectating tickets and ricers made me quit. I use to just sit there and watch everyone run around crazy when the cops showed up, but I knew just parked in a spot wasnt illegal, atleast not at that time.

After i moved out there for school, my first street race to watch was out at White Swan. I'm pretty sure they were only running 1/8 mile.
Then i was at the starbucks in Las Colinas and got to see a blown '94 cobra(a member on here) race and beat a trailered rx-7. That was pretty cool to see. Can't for the life of me think of that hwy number that runs through Las Colinas. This will brother me.
