And on another note, if they are going to go with a manualmatic why not just go ahead and put some paddle shifters up there on the steering wheel. Seems like it is a step they will take, I just don't understand why they didn't already take it.
I was thinking the same thing. I'm guessing it's only a matter of time now.

Maybe leaving a few little things to add for 14' before the major change over in 15'?

I dont understand the hate for the taillights? They are recessed like the 1970.

The GT500 has been getting lighter since the "original" '07 model. It weighed over 4,000 lbs, then lost 100 lbs pounds when it switched to an aluminum block in 2011, and its now lost another 70 lbs for 2013.

3850 lbs isnt that bad considering the ZL1 is almost 300 lbs heavier...

I am not regretting buying my 2012 either. The updates really don't do anything for me, save for the seats.

The taillights are cool enough I guess, but I don't like the new rear bumper at all. I prefer the current "loaded diaper" version.

I really dislike the new gauges, they look way too cluttered and difficult to read. The LCD screen with built in g-tech seems to border on rice, but I have a base car so that wouldn't matter anyway.

The Recaros are badass though, I want some bad.

Does anybody find it weird for the tach to be on the right and the spedo on the left? Are the 11-12's like that?

For 2013 Ford is offering a Track Package for the Mustang GT. Available only on manual models with the 3.73 rear axle, the Track Package includes everything in the Brembo brake package plus an engine cooler, upgraded radiator, performance friction brake pads and the same Torsen differential used on the Boss 302.

I thought the radiator was an engine cooler?

Well that is a good thing that the ZL1 is more of a pig!

I didn't see anywhere in the article that it stated the car could do 200 in a standing mile.

My '91 GMC Sonoma will do 115, but it takes a LOOOOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGGGGG time to get up there.

And it's down 70 hp and 50 lb/tq! The only thing the Camaro ZL1 has on the GT500 is IRS and magnetic ride.

I don't know about the 2011/12, but a lot of years (SN95s, for example) of Mustangs have had the speedo & tach in those positions. I actually prefer it that way.
