    Talk to multiple lawyers, and maybe talk to a judge first.

      It can't hurt to talk to them before handing him $1500. That might not even be his total fee, but enough to get hin "started". Lawyers have a way of milking your ass dry, especially a young person that might not know better and is easily swayed.

        I got this for a class b misdemeanor. Could be off though

        Sec. 12.22. CLASS B MISDEMEANOR. An individual adjudged guilty of a Class B misdemeanor shall be punished by:
        (1) a fine not to exceed $2,000;
        (2) confinement in jail for a term not to exceed 180 days; or
        (3) both such fine and confinement.

          He's probably already done that, hence the class B...:wink1:

            How do I talk to a judge without a court date?

            Seems like everytime I've went up there they cause a big stink whenever I mention anything about a judge.

              Probably the most sound advice so far.

                I have had a reckless driving charge. I just went to the DAs office and talked with them. Paid a fine and they dropped it to a lesser offense. I didnt have an attorney.

                    Reckless driving is a ticketable offense.

                    I looked it up when I got out of jail.

                      That's kind of what I was getting at. They don't want to go to court anymore than he does. It never hurts to be polite and act like you care, either.
