why is it no matter how many times you show them how to stop they never do it? Is it a fear thing? I bought my kids a small go kart last year for Christmas well they wanted to ride it today . this is the 2nd time since they have had it. The first time my daughter flipped it 10 seconds after getting in it.Back to today I go over 4 times on where the brake is at and first thing my son does is he mashes the gas down makes a u turn runs over my youngest daughters walker runs over a few lawn chairs and slams right into the picnic table and never once let off the gas or hit the brakes. The damn back yard looks like Vietnam. I have the damn thing turned down as far as it will go down to like 3mph max. Now both of my kids are being pussies and don't want to ride it anymore WTF

lol....can hear my dad "walk it off, just walk it off. You have to taste blood before you can taste victory. Now go do it again". Then the speech..."You never know how fast you can go until you fall. Now you have some war wounds for school next week". Worked every time....missing teeth, blood running from your elbow to the hand with long sleeve jersey sticking to the wound, and even with the chin all cut up from the handed down helmet that was too large and not doing its best when face slamming to the pavement......."It's just a little scrape, get up and try it again" .

Ever consider that your kids just suck at driving? Seriously, I had my first go kart when I was 7 years old. Never wrecked it, never had any problems driving it, heck, I was power sliding it not long after learning to drive it. Had my first 4 wheeler when I was 9, never wrecked it either.

Maybe you weren't driving it hard enough?

I take my 8 year old daughter to DKC and let her ride the 35mph karts. She does just fine, she runs wide open. All I told her was to not hit anyone and don't let off the gas!

Lmao. I waited until my son's 10th birthday to actually let him do anything. Bought him a kx65. He's only been down once, but it was on his cousin's little shit suspension 50. Hasn't been down on his bike yet. And he's greeting pretty brazen. Now of the little shit would just shift more. When he rides, you can literally hear the rod begging for mercy.

Heh, no. I did have a full 3 acres to ride on though, so not near as much stuff to crash into. I was just never scared to drive it.
