No, EECU, Educational Employees Credit Union. You do NOT have to be in Education to become a member tho.

Thanks for this. I was looking for somewhere to go to from Wells Fargo. I've been with Wells Fargo since 1992 and now they decide it's time to charge me $30 a month to have a checking and savings account with them. Looks like EECU will be getting my money henceforth.

Mine has been that way for as long as I can remember. Really the only time I might use a nonchase atm is at certain establishments and when I'm out of town so it's no big deal.

I've been with EECU since 1991, never ever had any problems with them. I hardly ever go to the bank, my wife does and they know her as soon as she walks in.

Why would you even use an ATM? I use credit card if I dont have cash... I sure as hell am not going to pay $2 to get my own money.

For anyone near: Athens, Arlington, Cedar Hill, Grand Prairie, and Mansfield

Right now you get $155 for signing up with them.
If you mention that a current member told you about them, that person gets either 25 or 50 bucks.

Credit Unions, FTW. Most are networked with other CUs and you can conduct business the same in a networked one, the same as if you were in your own. I'm with Fort Worth Community CU, and they've always been great. Can also use ATMs at 7-11s for free.
And a big Fuck You! to Compass. I was stuck needing to use the ATM a couple of weeks ago and they were all that was around. Those crooks charge $4 to non-Compass cards.

I believe that ! Ever since the switch from Compass to BBVA Compass, it's gone down hill. Crooks !! A lot of banks are that way with other bank's ATM cards though, that's why I always go to a atm at a store and I used to just save my receipts and get re-imbursed by the bank. Looks like that shits over with.

I have my main accounts with Chase and we only use the cards as credit to get our points, the ATMS are npot hard to find for chase as well. I also have an account with Wells Fargo and same thing they have quite a few ATMs around town. I have a savings and checking ING Direct, the ATMs impossible to find around town. I have been happy with chase since we opened out account with Bank United in 98 and have been with them thru all the buyouts.

Either join a Credit Union or get some lube while your bank continues to screw you up the ass.
