What's a good daily driver SUV for $3500 or less?

I know it will likely have 100K plus miles, but I want something dependable. Needs to be 4 door, don't care if its 4x4 or not. I was thinking along the lines of a late 90s/early 00 Jeep Cherokee or Explorer with a 6 cyl. Are these good choices? What else is out there that will run forever? I've ruled out Isuzu Rodeos and anything Kia from that timeframe. I wanna limit the miles on my new stang.

Smart move on staying away from the Rodeo's. They are pieces of shit an parts are ridiculously over priced. 2wd Cherokee with a 4.0 or 2wd Explorer wouldn't be a bad choice. The 4wd Cherokee's will more than likely be beat to shit.
