Best advice I have received in a long time. Booked 2 nights for 120 with tax.
Checked the same hotel on a different site with out bidding and it was 240 before the bs taxes. Thanks a lot.

An infant isn't going to know or care what's going on as long as it's not too loud, too cold, etc. Your concerns should be more along the lines of finding a comfortable place to stay.

It's not like a baby would get anything out of a cool children's museum http://www.austinkids.org/ or a tour of the capital building.

This could just be me, but with a kid that age in tow, I'd rather leave the girl/kid at home and get it over with. Stuck in a car with a baby for hours is a world class beating.

It's also the coolest city in Texas.
We wouldn't even be going but I sold a car that I've already been paid for and I agreed to meet him in austin. So rather driving straight there and straight back I figured i'd stay. Well trying to swing that with the misses would be next to impossible. "Hey me and a bud are going to stay the night in austin while you stay here with the baby" yeah right. So the only win win was have her come and make a week end out of it.
I should have been more clear on what I was looking for.
What are some adult things to do that can be done with a baby hitched to us is what I meant. I'd like to be there with out the baby, but i'd feel guilty/ irresponsible if I just left him behind with gma or something. Plus him and his momma would have seperation anxiety I'm sure
