          Coincidence?

          The FCC and FEMA will be conducting a nation-wide test of the Emergency Alert System on Wednesday, November 9, at 1 p.m. Central Standard Time. This test is being conducted to assess the reliability and effectiveness of the system as a way to alert the public during nation-wide emergencies.

          As this is the first nation-wide test, it is important that everyone understand that this is just a test, and not an emergency. The test will run approximately 3 minutes on all TV stations and radio bands.
