I love nature and all that and I felt the same way. I didnt like paying the $30 either. It is a breath taking site though. I felt a little better by finding the biggest group of tourists there and proclaiming out loud "...and they say we're running out of landfill space? Look at this!". Then on the way out I stopped at one of the gas stations and asked around to see if anyone was on their way in, they could take my ticket for a free entry. Some asshat says "that's illegal". Piss off! I bought it, I can give it away and give someone a chance to see it on my behalf. Eh, that was my experience. I was tired and half sick at the end of a 14 day epic roadtrip so yeah, I'll keep driving down I40 from now on.

I had about 3 hours to see it. The first hour was cool, then I was thinking "Ok, I'm over this." If I go back I'll do it right and take the helicopter tour. It's just too damned large to truly appreciate the magnitude standing from the rim for a couple hours.Originally posted by davbrucasI want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.
Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.
