Official deer hunting thread

I'm going to start this so we have one place to post for this that wish to. This is all kind of deer hunting weather you hunt from a box like I do or crawl through the woods with just your Bowie knife

I'll start.

This is how my season started.



It's the. It's the night before season actually and I go to sit in my stand to find that the wind was hellacious and blew it over. My dad came from his stand and helped me get it back upright

As of now 6:23p. I haven't seen anything. I do have a mouse that has come in and out of my stand probably 20 times looking for her baby that I tossed out the door when I got in ( she ran out with one and left the other behind and now she is looking for it)



I did pull the card out of my camera and have been looking through the pics and every morning 7:30-8 ish and late night early morning 11:30p-4am I have a few doe and 3 diff little bucks come through




Dad has seen a 4 point a 6 point another little buck and three doe so far and since I have been typing this another small buck and a little bigger buck have come through his clearing ( asshole)

Anyone else sit out tonight waiting for regular season to open tomorrow?

I saw the little buck right as it was just about too dark to shoot. Other then that I didn't see a thing

I have a bow. Never got anything with it. Never even been hunting before, so if any of y'all wanna take a Newb out an show him the ropes let me know. The bow is a Bear Strike

One of our guys got a small 8 point this morning. Another guy shot a coyote and we all saw deer.

So far so good. I don't plan to shoot anything unless it's a big buck. Might take a doe in a week or so

There where 5 doe killed on my lease this morning. One spike was shot and we tracked for miles but never found him. I killed one big doe and had to shoot a yearling doe that someone took shot at and clipped it right in the front joint of the front leg. Leg was just hanging so I thought it would be best to take out.

Guy's son killed a doe this evening and others saw several does...Seeing a lot of doe and a few spikes but nothing of size yet....But the season is young....

I saw a decent 6 point tonight. Dad say a 8 and 6. But that all we saw ( only 4 hunters)

We used to have a place in Comanche and then moved to Hamilton and now here in Alvord.
