ya'll are making me want to ditch work and go to the lease haha..

dad just called and said they have been seeing a mountain lion (puma, mountain lion, mountain cat, catamount, panther, or what ever you want to call them) at his property around lake Texoma so he is going hunting there this weekend for that instead of deer hunting.

the people in the area are worried about their livestock and other people of course. The game warden told them to kill it if they can

maybe I should go there this weekend instead how cool would it be to kill a mountain lion

Just missed opportunity on a 9 point shooter. Never gave mean shot and wouldn't respond to grunt much. Damn!

My Boss and his family has 17k acres in Eagle Pass. This place is set up! Mess hall, cabins, Rv hook up, huge covered patio for cooking and eating, covered game cleaning area w/ two A frames, electric hoists and drainage, 10x12 freezer, just built a huge latrine and showers. They have 27 blinds on the property all with names, my favorite is the 6 Way and Hollywood. With the new born i haven't been able to make it down there this year. And i won't until the last weekend of season, which is doe and spike only. Thats when we pack and secure the camp next until August. No bullshit we have to secure this place tight, illegal come though there all the time and break into shit. And they find at least one dead illegals on the property almost every year.

    Have a box of each.

    Monarch SPRG 150Gr Softpoint

    Remington Express Core-Lokt 180Gr
I would suggest that you use whatever you used to sight in your rifle with. Changing grain, soft tips etc will change the way the rifle shoots.

well we have 4 hunters on 200 acres and we pay $350 a gun... opening weekend is the only weekend that we would ever have all 4 guns there though.. usually it is just 2 at a time just because of everyone's schedules.
That's not bad, we pay $1200 for a year around lease, about 2500 acres or so and each hunter has a fenced section of about 300 acres to themselves. No water but we do have electricity. Allowed 4 deer, 2 bucks and 2 doe I'll probably shoot a buck and a doe then my sister and Dad may or may not shoot one.

Here is my home away from home for deer season.

edit* and Lea brought up a good point... do you have electric on the property?

    we have elec and water

I meant to take pics when i was there this weekend and i forgot... I'll get some next time I go.
no water nor electric. Hell there's no central pluming in these parts. the landing area for campers could have it, there used to be a mobile home there so im sure it could be done.

I sent you a PM. Might be interested if the price is right.

We went last weekend to my brother's lease and it was nice! He has a 5th wheel set up with electricity and everything so that made it much more bearable for me and his wife while the boys were hunting. Satellite TV, coffee and peace. It was glorious.

He has about 330 acres with exclusive rights to it so it's usually just him.
