I personally think that you can find a place for 5/6 hundred bucks a year if you look hard enough and do better. Most good hunting leases are 2k and better, but I know several friends that spend less than a thousand.

This is my uncle with the 8 pointer I shot today. Just as I set up on this buck and go to pull the trigger a fucking bird comes flying out of the bushes and startled me. I hit it a little farther back then I was aiming well this happened at around 5 and he just found it about 2 hours ago.
damn angry birds

I've been running behind, but I'm finally going to get the blind finished tonight and down to the lease this weekend. Hopefully do some actual hunting after thanksgiving instead of just going down there, checking the feeders and getting drunk lol. This will be my first time to deer hunt so it should be exciting. Building the blind has taken much longer than I anticipated, but it went from simple to a completely insulated 8x4 building lol.
Here is a photo of it partially finished, Last night I added a side window and a back one all that is left is to install the track and sliding plexiglass. Don't ask about the roof edge, that was a poorly thought out plan lol. All I purchased for the build was 2x4's and some plywood for the inside the rest is scrap I already had.

I might build another one next year. I want something up off the ground more so I'll just have 2 stands

Headed out this morning and got the blind all set up and ready for hunting next weekend.
Inside is completely insulated and carpeted.
View to the feeder, I've also got another feeder on the other side of the draw to the right that I'll put a popup blind on until I get another one built. Got some big tracks around the feeders and lots of activity.
