well we have 4 hunters on 200 acres and we pay $350 a gun... opening weekend is the only weekend that we would ever have all 4 guns there though.. usually it is just 2 at a time just because of everyone's schedules.
Here is my home away from home for deer season.

My Boss and his family has 17k acres in Eagle Pass. This place is set up! Mess hall, cabins, Rv hook up, huge covered patio for cooking and eating, covered game cleaning area w/ two A frames, electric hoists and drainage, 10x12 freezer, just built a huge latrine and showers. They have 27 blinds on the property all with names, my favorite is the 6 Way and Hollywood. With the new born i haven't been able to make it down there this year. And i won't until the last weekend of season, which is doe and spike only. Thats when we pack and secure the camp next until August. No bullshit we have to secure this place tight, illegal come though there all the time and break into shit. And they find at least one dead illegals on the property almost every year. You remember the stories John use to tell us about the the three chinamen playing Fantan? This guy runs up to them and says, "Hey, the world's coming to an end!" and the first one says, "Well, I best go to the mission and pray," and the second one says, "Well, hell, I'm gonna go and buy me a case of Mezcal and six whores," and the third one says "Well, I'm gonna finish the game." I shall finish the game, Doc.

ya'll are making me want to ditch work and go to the lease haha..
dad just called and said they have been seeing a mountain lion (puma, mountain lion, mountain cat, catamount, panther, or what ever you want to call them) at his property around lake Texoma so he is going hunting there this weekend for that instead of deer hunting.
the people in the area are worried about their livestock and other people of course. The game warden told them to kill it if they can
maybe I should go there this weekend instead how cool would it be to kill a mountain lion

Mt. Lions have such a HUGE home range (females much smaller range than males) that seeing the lion again doesnt have great odds. If you go, bring a good predator call and good luck!!"A bad day hunting beats a good day at work"

dad saw it a couple days ago and asked around and everyone else has seen in with in the last couple weeks and the neighbor called him last night saying she saw it last night and yesterday morning.
I know they usually don't stay in one area alot but this one seems to be staying pretty close to home..
