  • Abandoned Buildings Website?

Over in Canada someone had posted a link to a website with all sorts of abandoned buildings photographed. I used to have it bookmarked, but am not sure where that bookmark went. Can someone help me out?

Think I lost it when I had a hard drive shit out on me earlier in the year. So much for the constitution.

Wasn't it a Strychenine, or however you spell it, thread?

I don't think that was it, but can't be certain because fucking Websense sucks. It was more of a forum than a website.

Still not it, but thank you for the link. The one I am referring to had more places and broke it down on a state by state basis rather than just countries.

Hmmm. Urban Atrophy and Opacity are the ones I have bookmarked from the old site. I've got the one for defunct amusement parks if you want it.

That might be it because International Wildlife Park rings a bell. The main thing I wanted to see was the Forum mall in Arlington and it was on the same website.

Just went through a proxy and checked out Urban Atrophy -- that's not it either, but it is a cool website.

Here is the one for the amusement parks.
Photos of parks that are no longer in operation around the world. To name a few in the USA: Six Flags Astroworld (Houston, Texas), Opryland USA (Nashville, Tennessee), Jazzland/Six Flags New Orleans (New Orleans, LA), Old Indiana Fun Park (Thorntown, Indiana), Geauga Lake (Geauga, Ohio), Williams Grove Park (Mechanicsburg, PA)

I don't ever remember seeing one that had the Forum Mall in it, but if you find a link, send it to me. I lived right across 360 from the mall growing up and would be interested to see it.

I'd love to know where some buildings are around the area where I could go check out.

Very cool. I just went through all the pics and there were several comments that the user 'TTU prof' made that brought back a lot of memories. The Taco Terrace, Collector's Corner, and we both watched siblings in pageants at the lower stage area.
One comment in particular mentioned the Foot Locker that used to be there and how a guy died in front of it during a robbery while that person was in Jr. High. I remember the event well because I was in the same grade at that same Jr. High as the guys that committed the robbery and two of the offender's were in some of my classes. They went in to steal Starter jacket's and as they ran out a guy tried to stop them and one of them shot and killed him. I think the shooting actually happened in the parking lot though. One of them was named DJ and I can't remember the other. Antoine maybe. Crazy. I haven't thought of that in a LONG time. I need to see if I can find some old newspaper articles on it.
