Do you know who eats the loss in credit card theft?

Wait...what?! You don't need an insulator for a faraday...

            Wait, what?

Yes you do. Set a electronic device in a cage with any part touching the cage and it won't work.

Isn't the plastic of the credit card enough of an insulator? The chip is sandwiched between two layers of plastic.

First you're thinking strictly in terms of an emp...second only the sensitive components (RFID) would matter if tied to chassis. And C, even though all these chips are fully insulated I don't know that it matters.

He was talking about his passport, that is embedded in the back page.

I'm also talking about a scan (not swipe). If it is wrapped in foil, it will still be able to read the rfid. What would wrapping it with metal do if it is touching on all sides? LOL
