You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I just rented one at home depot a month or so ago for $50/4hours. Can't remember the length of cable but it was the largest they had. I want to say 100'. I dunno if you watched the plumber or not but it's real easy to do. Can be a little messy but it's worth it to save the cash IMO.

                    Still, $341? You got fucked.

Better be careful renting a snake, if the head of that thing latches onto a root and spins around quick enough, it'll break a thumb/finger with quickness.

Longest they have should be a 3/4" cable x 100ft. Gotta pull the toilet, or else go in through an outside opening, usually. They also have 50 and 75 ft x 1/2" cable for 2" lines inside the home. 1/2" in the 4" pipes can bind and kink the line. Also want to wear leather gloves; the coil can pinch your hands.

I used to work there, and they would always come back caked with all kinds of fucked up shit. The worst was this Asian guy, he brought one back that looked and smelled like it had been run through solid rancid cooking grease and feces - like he'd tried to clear out a clogged grease trap at a restaurant. It was absolutely one of the most foul things I've ever smelled.

I'm not sure the chemical, but you can definitely buy a root killer to flush down your pipes. I don't know how effective it is.

Absolutely. It happened to at least one person while I was working there.
