<----37, wife, kids, and a ton of other shit to do.

I spend a few hours myself on the xbox 360. Sometimes I'll go a few weeks without playing though, depends on how busy I am. Only game I really play is CoD. I didn't care much for Black Ops though. Modern Warfare 1 & 2 was awesome! When MW3 comes out, I won't be doing much of anything else.

And x100 on it being a good stress reliever

I'm 19 and I dont own a game console, however when I'm around and xbox or ps3 at a friends or relatives house than I always play.

I'm too broke to spend 300 buck on something that will take my time away.

I'm into PC Gaming pretty heavily. Being in I.S. it kind of came naturally. I don't do the "gota havez the lateststs graphix cardzz1!!1!" but I like my games to actually run smoothly.

This thread made me realize that over the past 10 years or so, the only games I have repeatedly played into the ground were/are Battlefield Series. I got hooked on BF1942, then went to Desert Combat (mod for 1942) the BF:Vietnam, then BF2, then Battlefield Bad Company 2 and it's addon Vietnam...now BF3...wow I can't get enough BF3.

All the other games are meh to me...except GTA 4...I still play that every once in a while when I need a fat hooker to give me a VD

27, no kids (but I think one is on the way - planned which is probably going to end my gaming days)

Dave just gets bent when he thinks I'm speaking outside the scope of Paramedicine.

Not realizing that all you do is spend hours upon hours doing your clinical rotations with ER docs (ER rotations) , Anesthesiologist (ET Tube requirements), Obstetrics (Requirements for child birth either vaginal or cesarean), Trauma at Parkland/JPS Ft. Worth, Advanced Medical Terminology, etc....There is just no way possible you are taught or exposed anything outside of State EMT-P course requirements. Actually, I'm a NREMT-P, but I wouldn't want to make things too complicated around here in regards to the difficulties related to that.
He has a valid reason to get bent when you do that, as you aren't trained in anything but paramedicine, so the likelihood of you being wrong goes up. You giving medical advice outside of your training is akin to going to a biologist for a back problem. Both are trained in their respective fields, but not trained in other fields, so they are unqualified to give advice. You can spend all the time with various doctors you want to, that doesn't make you qualified to doll out advice in those fields. Keep it to what you were trained on, and can verify that you're trained on it, and he may not have a problem with what you say. I'm just taking a guess here, only he can really answer why he's always jumping your case about it.
