  • Converting Cell Phone to Home VOIP

My personal cell phone does not get used anymore as I use my work phone all the time. I am paying $60 a month for 1500 minutes and unlimited web (TZones) through T-Mobile and again, I don't use it.

I would like to xfer the number to a cheaper VOIP service just to keep the number for when/if I leave this job for another. If so, I would just xfer the number back to a cell provider.

Has anyone here done this? If so, any recommendations? I was looking at Ooma, but I don't know how or if it is possible to keep my phone number and just xfer it. Any help on this subject is appreciated!

    TYIA!

Not sure if it is possible but you could port it over to Google Voice then just register the new home number on that account so it rings when others call the current cell number.
