Richardson Fire Department interview ???

My buddy was interviewing for a fire fighter job and he said he kept getting the same answer at different departments. When they gave him grief about getting it wrong at the first place he changed his answer to what they wanted when the second place asked it, but it was wrong there. This went on and on for a while and apparently each department has a different answer that they want for the same question.
The question was: If you're in the victim's bedroom after a call and you see your partner take some jewelery off the victim's nightstand and put it in their pocket what would you do?An invasion of armies can be resisted, but not an idea whose time has come.

Think about these kinds of questions and have an answer, stand by your convictions. They don't want to have someone change their answer back and forth, i.e. being influenced by what the panel says. The panel is there to screw with your mind and you can't let them do that.An invasion of armies can be resisted, but not an idea whose time has come.

How I would answer would be- I would talk directly to the firefighter convincing him to put it back. I would tell him I realize times can be tough and if he needs a loan or anything he can come to me rather than resort to stealing. Our career is too important to throw away over this. If he did not return the item I would pull the captain aside away from the scene and tell the officer what you had seen."You don't so much drive it, more like poke it with a sharp stick and channel the fury when you piss it off."

The answer will always be wrong. Your reaction and your response from being told you are wrong is what they are looking for.Originally posted by DennyI call dibs on Don's balls!
