In other words, "I've been nice to you before, so I've built up points so that it would be uncouth of you to say the painfully obvious truth that everyone else has already pointed out in this thread." Don't sweat it, Aaron. We've got this covered.

Ok, she might have clocked him at 120, but there wasn't a pursuit at that speed.

I'm wondering why she handcuffs him and walks him back at 0636 and then at 0713 it looks like he is unhandcuffed and walking back to his car.

Also, it looks like Florida DPS doesn't have any male patrol officers....

But, mostly it's deserved. There are some stupid "bad apples" out there.
And they tend to get most of the media attention, versus those that simply go about their day doing their job.

Still not a fan of the po-po, and still like to provoke occassionally, but I don't like those that blindly bash (not saying a lot of that was going on here).

Please expound. That wasn't a general statement about how I think that all LEO feels, but directed to the mind-frame of this one officer. Though it's not likely an isolated attitude that he posseses.

The board has it's haters for sure, but I was speaking to his actions from a non-LEO point of view. Anyone travelling double the speed limit simply because they are late obviously has little regard for the law.

Usually if I'm traveling at double the speed limit it isn't because I'm late; it's specifically because I have no regard for the law.

My wife has a friend that is a PHD student/budding art professor at Stanford and talks like that. She digs through the book to pull out the biggest words she can find and, like others that do the same thing, fails to realize what a dumbass she comes off as.

                    LOL, thanks Eric.

I took Tim's post the same way. Like I should automatically bite my lip because he complimented me before. I honestly don't care one way or another about Tim's use of fancy words, so I really didn't have to bite my lip about anything anyways.

I was just trying to figure out if we had ANOTHER fancy speaking board member, or if this was another case of someone changing their name and me not catching it.

I'm normally pretty good about figuring out who changed their SN to something else.

The name escapes me, but wasn't there an intellectual that intentionally mispelled a few words in his correspondence?

I want to say it was Einstein, but that doesn't sound right.

You can be intelligent and not use big words, if you feel the need to, you're trying too hard.

Dr. Dave is guilty when doling out medical advice, though I don't think it's at all intentional, he's actually got confidence. He's just not got time to dumb down all of those latin based medical terms for us common folk.

LOL It appeared he was moving out of her way,not knowing she was trying to stop him at first. Hell I had one last night go further then that and was just about to call chase and he stopped. The little special fella said he thought it was an ambulance behind him and he kept trying to get out of my way. Said he thought we use the siren to make all traffic stops. It was actually a funny stop as all four guys were making fun of the driver and he had a good DL and insurance. I still didnt wright him for speeding and explained to him how FD runs lights and siren everywhere as his friends had many jokes at his expense. I love my job.
                        Whos your Daddy?

I've been in patrol for roughly 16 of my 20 years of service. I've stopped many police officers in that time, from many different agencies including the federal boys.

The frustrating thing is those officers I stop that really think that mentioning one's LEO status or showing a badge makes a difference (unless there is some legal justification). When I was an officer I was looked down on by other officers, but since I have been a Sergeant and have a bunch of years of service the attitude is much different. It is always aggravating to get that officer that thinks it is his God given right to drive any way he wants just because he has a badge, but there are ways to deal with that.

I hope you're harder on LEO's than you are on regular citizens. I'm not trying to start an argument, but if the people who are supposed to uphold the laws aren't subject to them, it's kinda pointless to hold regular joes to them.

For the most part I try to use words that anyone can understand, however, when discussing medical issues, it's sometimes necessary to use words that the average Joe doesnt know.

I'm glad you clarified, I thought it was another knee-jerk defensive response to the opposite.

It does seem that the tide is turning in regards to protecting fellow officers. I appreciate the kindred spirit, but fuck-ups should be recognized as such.

I've personally been treated respectfully, and given a pass more than once, and I'd expect no less in certain situations involving officer on officer contact. Being LEO should never be a get-out-of-jail-free card though, and this article proves that.
