  • Need help finding this car; Torino

The Mayor of my city and I are trying to find a 1973-74 Ford Torino 4 door. He wants to get one and make it a police car replica from our cities' ol days. Engine size is not important as this will be for looks only (e.i. black and white paintjob with vintage lightbar.) The condition doesnt need to be restored, just not a bucket of rust. Thanks in advance guys.

Eh, because in the 70's thats what they had were the 4 door torino. He wants to be historically correct; for the most part.

from what I have seen, the majority of cop cars in the 70's were chrystler products, cause they were cheap.

I understand if that WAS what they had, but who really knows anyway?

I've never seen a Torino as a service vehicle Mopars owned the 70s for PDs.

There were departments all over the country that used Torinos in the early 70's.

Is this for Fort Worth, or a suburb of Fort Worth?

OOOk, thanks Pro88, we bought that one. fairly clean and I want its motor... It has a 400ci V8 with a FMX tranny. Engine sounds like a bad valve, but no big deal. Next thing on the list... I need to know if anyone has any idea where to snag a vintage Federal Lightbar. Its decribed as two cherry's and a siren in the middle. http://www.iclassifieds.com/forsale/...-lightbar.html (but with dual reds.)
