OEM has nothing to do about the year.

I am not sure of the process, but I am sure it would be just like any other kit car. Kit cars have been around for a very long time. This is just a new body in the line up.

The idea is to swap VINs and titles to this body. You in essence are rebodying an already-existing car that is too rough to restore.

        Supposedly.

this is bad as Pardee is the only one with the list for 65-66 shelby cars that correlates to ford vins. I've still got a block that came out of a 66 with the ford vin on it, as the shell of the shelby car has since been destroyed.

i think this is a great idea. seems like a cool alternative to building a kit car as well!

Now someone needs to do this with a 70-73 Trans am or Camaro

This is more of a scavenger kit car. "Buy our shell, and you're on your own for every little odd and end needed"

I wonder what it would cost to try and year one a fastback together with this 15k shell?

Your right not 100% serious. But its more the hypothetical question if you build a 100% accurate original "oem" manufactured "kit" is it a 65? As 46Tbird said the make, model, and year via the transferred vin. So if you transferred a 92+ vin would you have to do all the equipment and environmental regulations?

nobody cares about a 92 vin, try a real shelby vin that hasn't shown up in the registry for years............this is going to create lots of problems, but oh well
