I drink beer, but try not to stray from vodka and whiskey myself. Of course, I don't drink the baller whiskey either

To be honest, I have started swaying away from beer lately, and have been redeveloping tastes for the better quality spirits, mainly tequila and vodka, but there is no way in hell I would spend hundreds of dollars for a single bottle that could be drank in a few hours. I am too mush of a cheapass.

Definitely. I became a steak snob, then a cigar snob then a liquor snob... I think it was a gradual understanding of taste and variances in things I already liked. I picked up on scotch tastes quicker than I expected, I already have m favorites and my scotch collection is already almost as deep as my cigar collection.

For some starters, seriously pick up a bottle of Balvenie Carribean cask 14yr. Lots of sweet undertones and a very tolerable scotch. A constant on my bar.

Well I went by a local liquor store and didn't have any although I forgot to ask for balvenie, just the "carribean cask". Any other suggestions?

Lol, nice reference. I have been known though to drink a half gallon of alcohol (1.75L?) in an evening, but that was over 8-12 hours. I haven't done that in a long, long time though, getting too old for that power-drinking shit.

I'm a fattass so it takes more to saturate me, but I agree with it being more enjoyable if you have better quality. In the heat of the summertime though I guzzle swill beer since I sweat it out so fast. I welcome the cooler weather.

A little over a month ago I killed all but a couple shots of two 1.75s in a day.


I like the high dollar stuff, and I'll drink some fine vodka now and then. But there is no way I could support the way I drink, if I drank the baller stuff exclusively.

I almost bought a bottle of Bookers again last night when I was restocking my Woodford. It's just right on that edge of expensiveness that I don't want to buy it and not like it since I've never had it.

Booker's is quite potent. Has a lot of flavor, but Stagg seems more sophisticated.


I'll wind up with a bottle of Booker's in my collection before too long. It will help to keep my Stagg on hand a little longer. It's such a bitch to get the Stagg I almost don't want to drink it. almost.
