I was up in DFW a couple of weeks ago and saw this on the shelf at a liquor store so of course I had to have it. It might be for something completely different, but I just assumed it was a Rangers edition Makers Mark bottle.

I almost bought a bottle of Bookers again last night when I was restocking my Woodford. It's just right on that edge of expensiveness that I don't want to buy it and not like it since I've never had it.

I like the high dollar stuff, and I'll drink some fine vodka now and then. But there is no way I could support the way I drink, if I drank the baller stuff exclusively.

Booker's is quite potent. Has a lot of flavor, but Stagg seems more sophisticated.


I'll wind up with a bottle of Booker's in my collection before too long. It will help to keep my Stagg on hand a little longer. It's such a bitch to get the Stagg I almost don't want to drink it. almost.

I found bottles of last years release for sale online, but they were all coming out of the UK, and the cheapest bottle was going to be about $189 shipped.

If the guy who reserved the third bottle locally doesn't get it by the end of business tomorrow, it's mine. I did manage to find a liquor store in San Antonio that received two bottles, so they let me reserve one, but won't let my mom get the other. My uncle is going to try and get that second bottle for me, though. At worst, we've scored two bottles, but I'll be a really happy camper if I can get all four.

Last year's batch did win World Spirit of the Year. If I got my hands on a bottle or two of that, then it would get put up. However, that's a lot of damn money for a bottle of booze.

Scotch has several different variations. If for some reason you don't like this one, then research it and many others to see if you can pinpoint what you didn't like about it.

I don't know enough about Scotch to explain it well at all, but Yale or Don can elaborate.

Personally, I don't car for the peaty taste that some possess.


EDIT: I just read the label a little better. I do believe you will like it. I'll probably pick some up for a taste in the next couple months.
