    Man, I just don't understand.

I stopped a gal earlier today and discussed the improprieties of cutting over the solid white line to get ahead of everyone on the exit and as I was about to walk back to my car, she said "wow, that went better than I was expecting". I had to stop and ask why, and all she said was that she was expecting to be cited, as usual. I had to tell her I'm not here to write tickets, but to educate the public and change driver behavior. Tickets are used when it doesn't seem that a discussion will make a point. Maybe it had something to do with the fact she was a black female in a nice BMW, but that's never mattered to me.

Depends on what you mean by "low paid".

The day I was run over, and the day I was shot at I definately felt "low paid".

Some days I feel like I make more than deserved, other days, like Sunday's suicide, I don't feel like I make enough, but it all comes out in the wash.

You're referring to your occupation like customer service, lmao! I've never been charged money in excess of thousands of dollars for bad customer service. Actually, here lately I've been getting some great customer service from companies like Dell, Sirius and Costa Del Mar.
Citys like Plano, Irving, and FTW have been sucking the cock in the customer service department.

What about the time that dog had a firm bite on the crack of your ass, did you feel "low paid" that day?
          I bet you did, hahahahahahaha!!!!

You know what I mean though. I don't want to cite numbers and get into all that. It's just higher than I had initially thought it was and is a very respectable income.

Yeah, considering the dangers...etc...etc, I get that. However, when I found out what veteran cops make and the constant telephone calls for donations - I quit donating. In the end cops make enough (more than me when I was donating) to plan for the futures and their family as well if not better than most employees.

It's still a tough job for the money though, and that cannot be denied.

I never donate to those arseholes either! I think those people asking for donations are like a call center that takes 80% of the "donations". The only thing I will donate to is individual causes, like an officer that gets cancer, or who's house burns down, or something of the like. I've dontated money and close to firefighters also, along with other people. If it's a good cause, I don't mind helping out.

I do NOT donate to United Way though, that organization is a scam.

What's a scam about The United Way? Not baiting you either; it's the only charity my company pushes(I don't donate to anyone other than individuals, and even then half the time I find out I should have saved my money).

I don't have time to research it again, but they are never listed as one of the better charitable organizations by the American Institute of Philianthopy. Check out the Charity Navigator's history on UW, they have had shady business practices while top execs earn $250k/year.

Same reason I don't give to the Army Emergency Relief Fund. We had to while I was in (if you didn't you got extra duty). I found out that their overhead runs almost 80% of the funds. Fuck that. I give to my motorcycle group. I know where that money goes

Lol. There have been a few times I was stopped and things could've gone much worse, and they didn't. So I guess this was the bad catching up to me, so I'm over it.

I can remember a St. Patty's day in my hot rod with friends, after a few beers, and a few 12ga. blasts out my window at road signs in the country. That small town cop sniffed the chamber on the gun, our breath, and just laughed at us and sent us on our way. Ah the good ole days.

That would never happen these days.

Yeah, my Dad tells me stories of the 60s and how different it was back then. Hell, him and his buddies were drunk with a bunch of beers in the car. The cop made them empty them all and then promptly took his 16 y/o butt home.

Of course, it's not like he got a welcoming party at home though.

Hell, I see major differences from when I was a kid. heh, kids did not get arrested or anything too serious for a fight in school.

I just went on with life though, and didn't dwell on their incompetence. They were just venting their frustration on a biker I guess. For 53 days, I'd expect a pay day. Like $10,000 a day.
Add another "0" to that figure and I bet it's closer to my estimate than yours.

$530k for losing your job, house - everything for incompetence? That's worth a hell of a lot more than a half million.

What's really sad, is it is taxpayer's money that has to be used to compensate.
