  • Where can I cash in aluminum cans?

My neighbor crushes and collects cans in the beer/soda cases that they come in and when it's full he tapes them up and sets them outside my garage.
Well now I have quite a collection of cases full of crushed cans.

Anyone know where I can take them and cash them in? I used to take them to a place off of 35e and loop 12, but looking for something in Carrollton.

    Thanks.

DFWM ballers wouldn't know. We throw out our cans just like small bills and coins when we get less than a $20 bill back in change!

My family didn't have a lot of money growing up, I would pickup the aluminum beer cans my alky father would throw in the backyard by the broken down riding lawn mower.

Then once a month or so Saturday would roll around and I'd have 4 or 5 BIG trash bags full of cans.

Back 20 years or so ago you could actually get some decent coin for aluminum cans.

We would then make our rounds to our favorite pawn shops and I would pick a cassette or nintendo game from my hard work.

I was being trained on how to live off the land, working for my money, and be functioning alcoholic. Thank you, Dad.

That's sad man, sorry to hear that. But atleast you did learn some life lessons early.
Yeah I don't know if it's really worth the clutter nowadays. But it is a little extra coin I wouldn't otherwise have.

I got .75 a couple of month ago at a place up around Sherman off of highway 82. I know the price has come down since then, but I still pick up cans where/when I can. I'm not too proud to pick up free money...

I wouldn't change a day of it! It was awesome!

Plus I had new Nintendo stuff and knifes, and began my fascination with firearms.

Good times when your like 12.
