I do work for QT. I deliver for us. There is something in place. If you look around there are signs that say safe place or something like that. We make a call and a worker from this group comes and talks to the child and does the steps needed to make sure the child is safe. Abuse kids have also come and we have taken care of them.

I've seen the signs, that's how I knew about it. That sucks that kids have to go though that. Guess it's better than them being stuck in a household where they aren't wanted though.

IMO you dont deny a mother a right to interact with her son inevitably. Not saying the visitation shouldnt be supervised but should never be totally taken away. The judge that issued that order was wrong. A mother doesnt bring a child into this world to be told she can no longer have contact with it. Terrible act but they forced her hand and in the end everybody lost.

They forced her hand? Let me ask you something, do you ever take responsiblity for your actions? A mother killed her son, and here you are shifting blame to the courts. Are you serious? Do you have kids? Ever been through a custody battle? If the answer to any of that is no, you have no basis for an opinion. Sometimes, children NEED to be taken away from a parent, for their own safety.

Yes, sometimes you DO need to take away a woman's child. This case is proof positive of that fact. Taking away rights is NOT bullshit, when the safety of the child is on the line.

Just curious but if you were told you could no longer see or have any contact with your children would you just walk? Its not that easy. I dont know anything about the woman but i can guarantee that if she was crazy taking her child away wasnt the treatment she needed. Like I said i think the whole bunch of them were in the wrong.

This didn't pop up overnight. This has been a long time coming. These decisions are NOT made lightly. It is damn near impossible to get a decision like this from a judge. I know, I've been through it. If you haven't, you have no right to say who and what was wrong.

It's not up to you to decide they were ok to terminate her rights. Maybe she was a good mother that got messed up because she was never gonna see her child. The case went all the way to trial, and if she was " batshit" crazy, it wouldn't have gotten that far.

It's up to the judge to decide. That's why we have judges. To act in the best interest of the child. To make difficult decisions like this. My case went "all the way to trial". And not only was she "Bat shit crazy", she was also under a heavy influence of drugs (that was documented with the courts). So yeah, it would have gone that far. The judge obviously saw ample proof. Like I said, it's nearly impossible to get a decision like this in TX courts.

Her legal rights were removed, not the ability to see her son altogether. It just means that she can't force the father for visitation, he can certainly willingly allow them time together as he sees fit.

Giving birth does NOT automatically give one the ability to be a decent parent. If you are so unstable and incapable, your rights should be revoked for the benefit of the child. Especially in a case like this, where the other parent is fully capable of providing a loving and stable environment.

I do see where it says sole custody, and where the OP says no visitation. Qik, to answer your question, I couldn't walk away in the sense that I would be fine never seeing my children again. I'm a highly calculated person, so I would spend my days proving my fitness as a mother and playing the judge's game--to the letter. I am capable of reason, logic, and discretion, plus I'm not a psycho cunt, so it's a nonissue.

Ding ding ding. I don't even need to see the evidence, the facts, or anything else. This isn't something that happened overnight. Cases like this can take years to settle. I know mine did.

There are no assumptions being made. Having her rights taken away, especially in Texas where the mother wins 9 times out of 10, is indicative of the court's finding her to have an inability to be a decent parent. Her killing the child and offing herself is further PROOF of that fact.

Once again, have you been through a custody case? This isn't criminal court. Money can't buy you whatever you want. Sure, you can get a badass lawyer, but that's only going to take you so far. We're talking about the welfare of children, not 6 months vs 1 year of probation.
