I'll be out of town for a damn family reunion. I have a shit ton of 62 Galaxie chrome trim I need to sell, along w/ a bunch of FE parts. I'm also still trying to find a right out headlight bezel.
You remember the stories John use to tell us about the the three chinamen playing Fantan? This guy runs up to them and says, "Hey, the world's coming to an end!" and the first one says, "Well, I best go to the mission and pray," and the second one says, "Well, hell, I'm gonna go and buy me a case of Mezcal and six whores," and the third one says "Well, I'm gonna finish the game." I shall finish the game, Doc.

Just got home from the swap meet. For the Mopar guys, only things I spotted were a 318 Challenger (72-74) for 18k. Saw a set of police wheels not priced. A 383 long block that was black spray bombed, top bottom and even over the vintage oil crust. Then one vendor had some various grills and tail panel trim. He had several 1970 Plymouth Road Runner/Satellite grills that were broken. 1969 Coronet rear trim panel. A 70-74 E body pistol grip shifter ($250), a 69Road Runner hood (airgrabber missing some the underhood parts) for $1000. He also had a 68 Road Runner hood for $850. Other than that is was a few aftermarket wheels, and maybe some intakes here and there.

I think I saw you out there this morning. I would have said hello but I wasn't positive it was you. We met earlier in the year at Bob's garage sale in McKinney.

A couple of things that I found but passed on was a 65-66 mustang passenger door that was absolutely flawless for around $200 and an autolite 4100 (1.08) for $300.
I'm trying to find a rebuilt 4100 for about half that, but I'm starting to realize that's going to be a challenge. I just can't believe some of the prices on classic mustang parts these days.
Did anyone have any luck finding some deals?

Yeah I remember you. I was out there all morning with Cool Cat. I was wearing a black New Mexico State ball cap.

I picked up a few odds and ends. Fuel filters for the Ranchero and a few brackets to fab up a rear swaybar on the fastback. I did score 2 trailer brake modules NIB and a 3M respirator for $3 each.

My only blunder was forgetting to go back for a Remington 1100 Autoloader 12g.

Did you see that Hazzard County squad car? Man, I would love to cruise to Dukefest in that thing.

Not a big fan of the "Dukes" stuff. Liked the show when I was a kid, however it is way over done as far as "remake" or clone style cars. Almost as if, "Hey, what should I do with this project?"! Paint it orange and stick an 01 on the door. "Who cares if it is a Geo Metro it will still be a Dukes of Hazard car!".
