Doubletwist can read your itunes music and sync with an android phone. the basic version is free. There's a program for your PC and an app for the phone.

Personally I would go with one of these.
I had one of those, too. FML.

Burn to CD's. Import to your computer as MP3 files. Copy and paste the entire folder onto your android phone card.

I stopped buying Itunes music a couple of years ago due to the difficulty in using it with other playback programs than Itunes or Ipod. It is easy to import any MP3 files you have into Itunes and play them there so that is what I do.

yeah i dont like the lack of compatibility with itunes, but iv always had an iphone or ipod so it didnt matter.. it just makes it that much harder to get away from it.

If you have your iTunes set to convert to AAC format from disc (read: stupid), or if you pay for music from iTunes and it comes in AAC format, then you just select everything in your library, right click, and click convert to mp3. It will take a while, but then you have free reign to copy them into any player device.
