what can you do? oil isnt cheap anymore and it never will be again. Dr. Hubbert called this in 1974. This is happening because this country has no energy plan so we crash our economy with high fuel prices. Our only solution is NG which we have alot of and it is cheap. We can use it and export it all while creating jobs. Remember what happened last time with the fuel price spikes? This time it will be worse because the economy has already been beaten up.

Wal-Mart missed on earnings due to gmar contraction if I remember correctly. They beat on sales, comps were 1.5% versus a 0-2% guide. EPS were still up, guidance was up, but below consensus. I thought the shares were off on the guidance for EPS going forward due in part to the intl mix being greater than expected.

I traded in my SRT Jeep last Dec because I just flat out stopped driving it due to gas prices. I drove my Accord 99% of the time.

I payed $4.23/gallon to fill up my rental in san diego yesterday.

And people at work now understand why I drive the most beat up and ugly 96' Chevy Cavalier...it gets 32mpg and has 260k on it...I don't even lock my doors any more it's such a horrible looking car.

I just hope this job I interviewed for today comes through. It will be nice to work from home and not have to be affected by these gas spikes every week at the pump.

A few bucks a week hurts you that bad. I think people put way to much time and effort worrying about gas prices. So if gas jumps 30 cents over night it's going to cost an extra $6 or $7 to fill up. Big deal. People spend more than that downloading ring tones and bullshit apps for their phones.

No, a few bucks a week doesn't hurt me. But you are missing the point. Filling up once a month compared to 6 times a month does make a difference.

I'm glad I picked up a more MPG-friendly DD and keep the Navigator at home M-F. The extra $80 a week I save from not commuting to work in it sure makes a difference.
