  • Whats the best way to move a tool box?

I start a new job on Monday and I need to get my tool box up there. A friend of mine has a flat bed trailer that has an electric winch on it but he doesnt know if he'll have it this weekend or not. I started thinking about it and there's really not an easy way to move one. I guess I can rent a u-haul with a lift gate but I dont think most lift gates are rated for 1000lbs?
The tool box is a large snap-on so...
    A. I dont want to take any chances that I dont have to.
    B. It's heavy as hell.

We used an enclosed car hauler for my brother's last year. just be sure to put something across the gap where the door/ramp folds down.

When I worked in the aircraft industry way back, dudes either had a beatup old pickup they loaded it up into the bed with using a forklift OR had a flatbed tow truck swing by(gets my vote).

My borhter in law suggested using a drop deck trailer. Looks like sunbelt rents them.

                  anyone ever tried one.

call kyle and ask how much to move it. by the time you rent a trailer plus time and gas you may come out ahead.

I have used pick bed, uhaul truck, and even my damn jetski trailer once. Engine hoist works great at home if loading into pick up. Then use forklift to unload it at work. Or rent a uhaul trailer. They have one that has a folding ramp like a lawn trailer.
