I'm one of those that favors the Singers/Songwriters of the late 60's - early 70's.

There is a lot from other eras I like as well, but if I'm going to have to prioritize...

90s. 60s is a close second. And I'm not saying one is better than the other, just my preference.

This will have a lot to do with what we grew up with. I'm an old dude, and I can't imagine not having KZEW or Q102 playing in my car as a teenager. Back then, "classic rock" was early Stones, Beatles, and Hendrix.:wink1:

Sure, the '80's brought us SRV (commercially) and a lot of other talent, but start a list of good '70's bands/songs, and see how many hours it takes to complete it.

Tough. The 90s are sentimental to me but didn't have the best music. The 70s are not sentimental to me, but contain the best music. And the music I listen to most comes from the 2000s, of which only a few people from this board have even heard of half of it. I'll go with the 70s though, just because my favorite band was formed in that decade.
How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

What I was going to post. The 90's is where I really began to define my music taste versus what my dad had always listened to.

But the 60's are incredible. The old motown tracks are so far above anything in the last decade(s) it isn't even a comparison. Doesn't seem to be any soul in music anymore.

I was born in 85 but i'll go with the 90s

I was 70% rap, 30% everything else. Rap music has gone to crap since 2000, its pretty much snap music / what can make me famous music.

Seems like The Edge only plays stuff from the 90's

                Rap:
Tupac, Bone, Eazy E, Dre, Snoop, Do or Die,Outkast, Ice Cube,Wu-Tang, Everything from No Limit, Cash Money, Rap a Lot , etc.

Other: Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots , U2, Foo Fighters, The Offspring, Rage Against the Machine.

I went with 70's since my favorite band of all time is Led Zeppelin and that is the music I really grew up listening to with my dad and uncles. It has just stuck with me. I have recently been more into 90's rock though and gradually paying more attention to what is out there now. I think whatever is out now still sucks.

Like Geor, if I go with sentiment, it's the 90's, but I know the 70's influenced a lot of that music.

I dig blues from the 20's & up, but didn't see a category for that.
